When Ansley and her mom, Dianne, came to us last January we knew we were in for a fun design process! They already had some of their vendors booked and a vision in mind for Ansley and Richard's winter wedding day. Sacred Heart, big band, big bar, lots of pretty florals, and lots of fun. We instantly knew the feeling we wanted the event to embody and jumped right into the design process headfirst.
Sacred Heart is such a beautiful venue and it doesn't take much to turn it into something spectacular, however we wanted this wedding to be unlike anything any one had seen yet in this space. We started with a beautiful white wooden bar to anchor the overall event design, including the spectacular gold and glass bar backs that our floral designers decked out in hydrangea and garden roses. Once the candles were lit, the whole display glowed beautifully at the center of the cathedral.
More specialty rentals included the round banquettes topped with massive urns spilling over with florals and the coordinating lounge seating for guests to relax in while watching the bride and groom dance the night away to the incredible Perfect 10 Band.
Of course with Sacred Heart comes the spectacular marble altar. Our floral design team adorned it with smilax (from grandma's garden!), florals galore, and plenty of candles which made it the perfect backdrop for the band.
One of our personal favorite details from the day were the dove grey velvet linens and candles lining all the stained glass windows around the venue. It was those extra touches that really made this wedding unique, one-of-a-kind, and nothing like what has been done in that space before.
The wedding day itself was a beautiful, crisp, sunny January day here in Augusta. The ceremony took place at Trinity on the Hill and the images shot by the talented Amy Noon Free of the bridal party just perfectly encapsulate the beauty of this bride, couple, and families that we got to know throughout this process.
